You will proceed to Sigiriya en route visit pinnawala elephant orphanage. At this orphanage you will find elephants of all ages that have been abandoned and the unique feature is that you feed the baby elephants with milk bottles during the feeding time.

Visit Sigiriya lion rock which is declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1982. The ruin is surrounded by gardens, ponds and other structures. Sigiriya was built by King Kassapa.

After breakfast visit Minneriya national park to do a safari by jeep. There are about 300 wild elephants, wild buffaloes, wild boar, spotted deer, sambhar, crocodiles, jackals, nine kinds of amphibians, 25 kinds of reptiles, 160 species of birds, 26 varieties of fishes, butterflies recorded from the Minneriya national park.

Afternoon explore the rural village of Hiriwaduwa. The tour begins with a beautiful trek to a manmade reservoir. After boat ride, hop into a bullock carl alongside paddy fields and rural vegetable plantations to a traditional village house, where you will enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan lunch.

After breakfast visit Anuradhapura ancient city. The city’s greatest treasures are its dagobas are the Ruwanweliseya, Jethawaarama and the Thuparama dagoba enshrines the collarbone of the Buddha. The city’s most renowed relic is the scared Bo tree, which is said to have grown from a branch of the tree under which the Buddha gained enlightenment.

Leave for Trincomalee and visit Koneswaram temple, hot water wells and pigeon Island.

Koneswaram temple surrounded by the dramatic swami rock and gokana bay, the classical- medieval complex is the Trinco’s biggest draw. The site is major hind pilgrimage center, and one of the Pancha Ishwarams build in Sri Lanka to honor one of the principle deities of Hinduism.

Visit Kanniya hot wells comprise seven warm natural springs enclosed in seven square- shaped wells. The spring water is thought to have therapeutic properties; those with skin problems or ailments such as arthritis and rheumatism come here looking for a relief.

After lunch visit national park of pigeon island. This rocky island has to two small beaches and is a major draw among tourist for the excellent snorkeling opportunities in the shallow waters of the bay, live coral and still be seen here in addition to a number of tropical fish species and other marine life.

After breakfast visit Polonnaruwa ancient city.

Polonnaruwa is another ‘world heritage site’ was the capital of Sri Lanka from 11th – 13th centuries, contains some splendid and spectacular statues. You will see the excavations; temples, dagabos, the royal place ect. Rankoth vehera and Kiri vehera are well preserved large stupas and gal vihare- a rock shrine has four Buddha statues, two seated one standing and one reclining.

Dinner overnight stay in Polonnaruwa.

After breakfast you will leave for Kandy en route Dambulla and Matale.

The beautifully painted cave temples of Dambulla where designated a UNESCO world heritage site in 1991. The caves of Dambulla sheltered king Walagama during his 14 years of exile from Anuradhapura.

Visit Matale Spice garden where you can enjoy a garden tour and a cooking demonstration to understand the taste and aroma of the world famous spices.

Afternoon visit for Kandyan dance performance in Kandy. The kandyan dance is traditionally performed to percussion only. The most common drum is the Geta beraya, which is only used in Kandyan dance.

After breakfast visit temple of tooth relic where located at the heart of the kandy town. The green waters of the nuwara wewa, the temple’s white washed walls with tops shaped like that of clouds surrounded the temples ground.

Leave Nuwaraeliya en-route visit ramboda waterfalls, tea factory and tea plantations at the Labukelle estate where you taste the tea and experience of processing tea at the factory.

After breakfast leave for Kitulgala water rafting which serves as a base for a range of adventure activities, such as white water rafting, a boat trip across the river leads to the Kitulgala forest preserve, which offers good bird watching and trekking in lowland.
