Make your 11 days memorable -; The Temple of the Tooth, one of Buddhism’s most sacred sites, is the epicenter of the Hill Country city of Kandy, once capital of Sri Lanka’s ancient kings.
You will have the opportunity to visit the temple and see much more of the city’s historic backdrop, including Kandy Lake, a reservoir built in 1807 by our last king.
You will also appreciate the tour of one of our best-known tea factories, and a shop-tour visit to Nuwaraeliya, Kitulgala, Yala National Park, home to our famed Sri Lankan leopard and leaving your footprints in the sand at Hikkaduwa, one of our famed golden beaches.

Arrive in Sri Lanka, to be met by a representative of ceyloniwin travels and tours.
Visit Pinnawala elephant orphanage to see the abandoned and wounded elephant’s house , in addition, there are some baby elephants that were born here in captivity.
Transfer to Habarana hotel and relax in the evening.

After breakfast you leave for Sigiriya and morning climb the Sigiriya lion rock. Sigiriya is a ‘ world heritage site’ and the most fantastic single wonder of the island. It also known as lion rock because of the huge lion that used to stand at the entrance to the place on the summit of the 600 feet high rock. The water gardens, fountain garden, summerhouse, boulder gardens and the caves with the enclosed are should not be missed.

Visit Polonnaruwa ancient city which another ‘world heritage site’ was the capital of Sri Lanka. The city in its day was fortified with three concentric walls, beautified with parks and gardens and blend of the influence of the south indian hindu culture on the Sinhala Buddhist art and architecture in the scattered shrimps and monuments still renerated daily by devotees.

Morning visit Minneriya National park to do a safari by jeep with takeaway breakfast. This national park is famous for its large population of elephants and seen in the catchmen area of the lake. There are also macaques, samba deer, wild buffaloes, land monitors and even some elusive leopard and sloth bears to be observed.

Proceed to Dambulla cave temple. The beautifully painted cave temple of Dambulla were designated a UNESCO world heritage site in 1991. The walls and ceiling of the caves are adorned with paintings depicting religious and secular themes.

Afternoon visit Hiriwaduna village tour. This is a typical countryside experience to the rural village of Hiridwaduna. The trek begins with a beautiful walk along to a man-made reservoir. You will also experience a boat ride, bullock cart ride, rural vegetable cultivation, paddy fields and enjoy an authentic Sri Lankan lunch at a village house.

Morning leave for Kandy via Matale. En-route visit Nalanda gedige, which is unique structure build in the south indian architectural style.

Visit Matale spice garden where you can enjoy a garden tour and a cooking demonstration to understand the taste and aroma of the world famous spices.

Evening visit for a kandyan dance performance.

Dinner and overnight in Kandy.

Visit temple of tooth relic after breakfast. The golden- roofed temple of the scared tooth houses Sri Lanka’s most important Buddhist relic. Here visitors can observe poojas (offerings). The ancient traditions of drumming and scared chanting in honor of the tooth relic being performed several times each day.

The wonder around the lake and the streets of Kandy getting a feel of this wonderful city. For those interested in shopping for gems, antiques, clothes and leather explore the local markets and shops.

Visit Peradeniya botanaical garden. It includes more than 4000 spices of plants, including of orchids, spices, medicine plants and palm trees.

Return back to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay in Kandy.

After breakfast leave for Nuwaraeliya by train from Kandy. You will be getting down from the Nanu oya railway station. On arrival at Nanu oya you will be met by Mc Island Life travel and tours guide.

Afternoon visit a tea factory and tea plantations at Labukelle, where you taste the tea and experience of processing tea at the factory.

Morning excursion to Horton plains national park with take away breakfast. The Horton plains national park is a beautiful, silent, strange world with some excellent hikes in the shadows of Sri Lanka. The ‘plains’ themselves from an undulating plate over 200m high covered by wild grass land and interspersed with patches of this forest, rock out crops, filigree waterfalls and Mistry lakes.

Afternoon visit Hakgala botanical garden. Hakgala is famous for its roses that bloom. The garden is divided into different sections, including a Japanese garden, a fernery and a rock garden. The beds here host a diverse range of flowers from sunflowers and pansies to orchids. The plants and trees labelled in red are indigenous to Sri Lanka.

Morning check out from hotel and leave for Hikkaduwa. En-route visit Kithulgala water rafting. Kithulgala server as a base for a range of adventure activities, such as whitewater rafting. Most hotels in the area can arrange rock climb, cycling, abseiling and overnight river trips . A boat trip across the river leads to the Kithulgala forest reserve which offers good bird watching and trekking in lowland rainforest.

Evening visit Hikkaduwa after a long journey. We suggest that you spend the rest of the day relaxing and enjoying the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Morning explore the historic town of Galle and the 17th century dutch fort, a UNESCO – protected world heritage site walk down galle fort’s narrow streets lined with dutch and british colonial era buildings which are still in use. Sturdy ramparts looking out to the sea, the lighthouse and a growing collection of art galleries.

Visit Kosgoda tutle hatchery which is a valuable conservation project that protects the endangered marine turtles of Sri Lanka.

Late evening visit Weligama beach. There you can see stilt fishermen the most interesting traditional fishing methods of Sri Lanka.

Downsouth beach which is truly a symbol of calmness and cleanness it gives yourself a calm and natural treat. There is plenty of space of everyone to settle in perfectly and enjoy sunbath to the fullest.
